The last year the fearsome cars would race at Le Mans. Times were a changing. Also celebrating the last year of that fearsome corner, 'Maison Blanche', before the circuit changed by the addition of the Porsche curves. A farm building famously stood on the corner of Maison Blanche with the word 'Martini' painted on the roof.
