It's Martini time! Porsche crush Le Mans with the 917, for the second year running. The picture depicts the no. 22 car taking the Maison Blanche curve on its way to winning the race at a record speed, followed by second placed car, no. 19 Gulf Porsche. The last year the fearsome cars would race at Le Mans. Times were a changing. Also celebrating the last year of that fearsome corner, 'Maison Blanche', before the circuit changed by the addition of the Porsche curves. A farm building famously stood on the corner of Maison Blanche with the word 'Martini' painted on the roof.
